SSL certificate expiry monitoring, before visitors see a warning

Alert My Business watches the SSL certificate on your website and emails you before it expires, so customers never meet a 'not secure' warning. It's included on the free plan.

An expired certificate turns customers away at the door

When an SSL certificate lapses, browsers put a full-page warning in front of your website. Most people don't read it. They leave.

Chrome, Safari and Edge all react to an expired certificate the same way: a warning that the connection is not private, and a button that takes the visitor back where they came from.

Checkouts feel it first. A customer halfway through paying sees a security warning and does the sensible thing. They close the tab and buy somewhere else.

Picture an online store running a weekend sale. The certificate renewal fails quietly on Friday, the sale email goes out on Saturday morning, and every click lands on a warning page. Nobody on staff notices until a customer messages to ask whether the site has been hacked.

The fix usually takes minutes. The cost comes from not knowing it needed fixing.
