Common questions
When is a quarterly BAS due?
On the 28th of the month after the quarter ends: 28 October, 28 April and 28 July, except the October to December quarter, which is due on 28 February. A date on a weekend or public holiday moves to the next business day.
When is a monthly BAS due?
On the 21st of the month after the month it covers. The calculator lists the next eight.
Does my tax agent get more time?
A registered tax or BAS agent's lodgement program can give extra time on some quarters. The calculator shows the standard dates and says so; your agent confirms your exact dates.
Is this the final word?
Your ATO online services account is. These dates follow the ATO rules our team checked, and each result names the ATO page and the date it was checked.
