Terms of service
Short version: we relay information and our own checks to help you act sooner. We do not guarantee completeness, and you remain responsible for your business.
The agreement
By creating an account or using the public pages you agree to these terms, the Privacy policy and the Acceptable use policy. If you use the service for a business, you confirm you may bind that business.
What the service is
AlertMyBusiness collects information from public and official sources and from checks we run against websites and domains you nominate, matches it against the profile you give us, and sends alerts and reports. It is an information service, not advice, and not a substitute for an IT provider, accountant, lawyer or insurer.
What we do not promise
- Completeness: sources can be late, wrong or unavailable. An absence of alerts does not mean nothing is wrong.
- Timeliness: checks run on the intervals shown for your plan; vendors update their status pages on their own schedule.
- Compliance outcomes: due dates are shown from official sources with the date we last checked them; your obligations may differ, and your accountant or the regulator decides.
- Eligibility: a grant shown as likely is an estimate, not a determination.
Your account
You sign in through the site that hosts this service. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us about any unauthorised use. You are responsible for the people you invite and the websites, domains and email addresses you add; only add ones you own or are authorised to monitor.
Payment and cancellation
Free features are free. Paid add-ons are billed monthly or yearly in advance through the site's checkout (Stripe) and appear as separate lines on one subscription. Adding or removing a line is prorated. Prices include tax where the law requires and may change with 30 days' notice. If a payment fails we retry and email you; after the retries the paid lines end and your account continues on the free plan with its data intact. You can cancel any line at any time; no refunds are given for the current period except where the law requires.
Content and intellectual property
Plain-English summaries, guides and page designs are ours. Vendor statements, advisories and official notices belong to their publishers and are quoted with attribution and a link. You may share alerts and reports within your business.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as is, and our total liability to you for any claim in a year is limited to the amount you paid us in that year, or $100 if you paid nothing. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or data, arising from an alert we did not send, sent late, or sent in error. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end accounts that break the Acceptable use policy or do not pay, with notice where practical. On ending, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and disputes are heard in its courts, without limiting consumer rights in your own country. Last updated 2026-10-26.
